That RIBBING….
This autumn has been a study in delicious textures. We began with the Toast hat, moved to the Bracken vest, and now Twig, a modern triangle with a plump and dramatic ribbed edge.
Well defined stitches
I LOVE the simplicity of this shawl. I chose light colours and yarns with impeccable stitch definition to make that texture sing.
Maritha’s warm pink shawl is made in John Arbon Textiles Knit by Numbers DK in colourway KBN121. This yarn comes in not 12, not 32 but a whopping 115 shades! I LOVE how soft this yarn is, and have found it wears SO well with use.
Kits are now available from John Arbon you can find the Twig kits here. AND you can use the code TwigShawlLove, from now until November 19th, 2025, to get 10% off any of their DK weight yarns.
Max, my cutie, is wearing the shawlette (or child size) shawl in YOTH Big Sister (discontinued) in Mango. YUM. Other alternatives I’d reach for would be Tanis Fiber Arts Purewash DK or Modern Daily Knitting Atlas.
